What size should a LinkedIn post image be in 2026?

According to LinkedIn Help, a post image must be at least 552 × 276 pixels, and LinkedIn recommends 1,080 pixels wide. The ratio can be anything from 3:1 (wide) to 4:5 (tall); outside that range the image is centered and cropped. The file limit is 5MB, and you can add up to 20 images to one post.

In practice: 1,080 × 1,350 (4:5) is the tallest image LinkedIn shows without cropping, 1,080 × 1,080 for a square, and 1,200 × 628 for landscape.

What size is a LinkedIn carousel?

A LinkedIn carousel is a document post, usually a PDF. LinkedIn sets no pixel size for it, only up to 100MB and 300 pages, with every page the same size. It recommends converting to PDF and flattening layers.

Our carousels are 1,080 × 1,350 pixels, a 4:5 ratio, the same as the tallest image LinkedIn shows in a post. A carousel ad is different: 2 to 10 cards of 1,080 × 1,080.

LinkedIn company page image sizes

Logo: 400 × 400 pixels (minimum 268 × 268). Cover: 1,512 × 256. All PNG or JPEG, up to 3MB. LinkedIn says a company page cover may be trimmed horizontally or vertically to fit the screen, and recommends keeping text to a minimum.

When you share a link from a company page with your own image, LinkedIn recommends a 1.91:1 ratio, 1,200 × 627 pixels.

FAQ

What is the LinkedIn banner size in 2026?

1,584 × 396 pixels, a 4:1 ratio, JPG or PNG, under 8MB, according to LinkedIn Help.

What is the safe zone on a LinkedIn banner?

LinkedIn doesn't publish one. In our measurement (2 November 2026, English interface), the profile photo covers almost the whole left half of the banner on a phone and the bottom-left corner on desktop. Text and logos on the right half are visible on both.

Is 1920 × 1080 good for LinkedIn?

For a post, yes: 16:9 is within the range LinkedIn shows (3:1 to 4:5), and it's wider than 1,080. For the banner, no: the banner is 4:1, so a 1920 × 1080 image is cropped to a thin strip. Make the banner 1,584 × 396.

What size is a LinkedIn profile picture?

Between 400 × 400 and 7,680 × 4,320 pixels, JPG or PNG, up to 8MB. It is shown as a circle, so use a square photo with your face in the middle.

What size should a LinkedIn carousel be?

LinkedIn sets no pixel size for document posts, only up to 100MB and 300 pages of the same size. We design carousels at 1,080 × 1,350 (4:5).

Why does my LinkedIn banner look blurry?

According to LinkedIn, usually because the file is too small. Upload a high-quality file at 1,584 × 396 pixels. LinkedIn also notes that photos look better than images with logos.
